Report from the Field!

Hey No on #9 supporters! We need more volunteers. Please sign up below.

This is a report from a field operative.

Last weekend, Dave and his son James (pictured above) went out to the Hyde Park Farmer's Market with some of our No on #9 literature. I'm interested to see what James does next -- and what campaign he is planning to work on in 2012! (James is clearly a skilled a field organizer already.)

HP Farmers Market went well today (after I was told I had to stay on the Edwards Road sidewalk). Biggest challenge was the time to talk with people and answer questions. But I like doing that.

I got no negative responses (other than very few people refusing to take information). Several people were glad to get the "NO" vote clarification. I also had two people actually apologize for signing the ballot petition! They both said they will vote "no". Also was neat to have people say they were glad to see me out there and the word getting out.

My 6-year-old son James helped me after church. He was actually more effective than me with his simple message yelling "Vote No on Nine If you want more trains!" In general, that's correct. He also pointed out to people that "it's turned around, you have to vote 'No' if you want more trains." Photo attached.
